Obtaining access to eTVA system using this computer
The following chapters explain how to complete with this computer the initial steps required to use the eTVA system. Further information on the
procedure for obtaining access to the eTVA system
Ordering a LuxTrust certificate
This computer is not intended to be used to order a LuxTrust certificate online from LuxTrust s.a..
Please contact the LuxTrust helpdesk on 24 550 550 to obtain information on the steps to be taken if you do not have a computer connected to the internet.
Activating your LuxTrust certificate
Following receipt of your LuxTrust certificate and PIN Mailer by post, you will need to activate the certificate via LuxTrust s.a. using the
http://activate.luxtrust.lu/ website. For any questions about activation, please contact the
LuxTrust helpdesk on 24 550 550 using your mobile phone.
You can only use the certificate to connect to the eTVA system after a maximum period of four hours following activation of the certificate via LuxTrust s.a.
Applying for access to the eTVA system
In view of the fact that the application for access to the eTVA system must be physically submitted with an original handwritten signature to the eTVA helpdesk
and printing it out from this computer is not possible, please request a copy of the form at the main tax desk (guichet du service 'Recette Centrale').
If you do not have a computer with which to extract the OU (organisational unit) field from your certificate, attach a copy of the LuxTrust certificate
order form to your application for access to the eTVA system.
Obtaining the serial number of your LuxTrust certificate
lease login to
http://test.luxtrust.lu/ to display the details of your certificate.
Extracting the OU (organisational unit) field to finalise your application for access to the eTVA system
The administration needs to know the value in the OU (organisational unit) field of your professional LuxTrust certificate for technical purposes to enable access.
Given that you cannot access your personal email inbox to submit the requested information, please login to http://test.luxtrust.lu/
to display the details of your certificate. Then, take a photograph of the screen using your mobile phone and send the photo along with your (intra-Community) VAT identification number
to the eTVA helpdesk at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org .
Alternatively, you can also attach a copy of your LuxTrust certificate order form to your application for access to the eTVA system.
Validation of access to the eTVA system
After setting up technical access, you receive an email from security.public.lu containing a link to validate the access
that has been set up. Please take any steps needed to ensure that your email system's anti-spam filter does not block this message.
After receiving the email, login to the security.public.lu portal to enter the 12-digit code
for final validation of your access to the eTVA system.
